Raytheon is seeking a Sr. Windows System Administrator with strong System Administration background to join our team in developing the Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) Common Ground System (CGS), a state-of-the-art ground station for the next generation of low earth orbiting environmental satellites. This system will provide global coverage, monitor environmental conditions, collect, disseminate and process data about the Earth''s weather, atmosphere, oceans, land, and near-space environment.
The Windows System Administrator is responsible for working with the SEIT Infrastructure. The System Administrator is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and implementing solutions to optimize the infrastructure operations. Analyzes and identifies all or part of a company''s existing or new computer (and/or server), peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs. Designs, implements, codes, tests, documents, and maintains systems integration solutions to total system or subsystems. Establishes functional and technical specifications, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. This position requires US Citizenship.
Additionally:
Support a heterogeneous mix of computer hardware and software platforms, including servers and workstations, and numerous COTS and customer software applications.
Support a varied range of tasking from break/fix support, supporting recurring operations functions, and new system upgrades
Support technical approaches, trade studies and processes
Accurately measure progress, identify potential problems in sufficient time for corrective actions, and ensure Raytheon meets contract commitments
Required Skills:

years of experience directly related to Windows System Administration Windows 2000/2003/2008 and Desktop support with increasing responsibilities administering client/server applications

Years administrative Experience with VMware
Understanding of Storage Area Network concepts (SAN)
Strong hardware/software troubleshooting skills
Experience in the following areas: Patch Management, Anti-Virus, Clustering, OS Upgrades, computer security and system monitoring and logging
After hours on call support averaging one week a month and ability to work overtime as needed
Willing and able to travel approximately 20% to off-site locations for installations and maintenance work on short notice as needed
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds in support of hardware installations.
Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain Secret clearance.
Desired Skills:
Ensure successful planning, deployment, installation, and upgrades of products within required timelines and resource allocations over multiple geographic sites
Experience with desktop workstation collaboration products and protocols
Proficiency with Enterprise level administration of common network services such as Active Directory, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP and troubleshooting as well as Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Windows 2008/Windows 7; HP hardware (i.e. server, workstations RAID, and thin clients); SQL Server; and Linux
Experience supporting Rational Clearcase in an enterprise environment
Strong analytic and research skills - must be detail oriented
Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency
Requires the ability to effectively interact with external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and vendors
Team lead experience, communication and diplomatic skills a must; significant interaction with various segments of the program
BS Bachelor''s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar technical related field, OR equivalent combination of education and experience (BS degree = 8 years relevant experience).

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
