Management Analyst

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. TIME-IN-GRADE:
Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. FOR THE GS-12 LEVEL:
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-11 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates:
Experience working with at least three (3) of the following administrative functions:
Human Resources, Budget formulation, justification, and execution, Financial Management, Procurement and Contracting, Property or Facilities Management, Administrative Policy Analysis, Logistics, Physical Security. Experience participating in program reviews, assessments, or other administrative analysis aimed at improving program effectiveness, efficiency, or delivery. Experience preparing clear and concise project papers, administrative or staff reports, or informational memos for management knowledge and decision making. Experience applying qualitative and quantitative techniques for conducting studies, evaluating policy, and/or analyzing administrative data, in order to make recommendations for improving program efficiency and productivity. There is no education substitution for this grade level. FOR THE GS-13 LEVEL:
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-12 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates:
Experience managing or leading at least two (2) of the following administrative functions:
Human Resources, Budget formulation, justification, and execution, Financial Management, Procurement and Contracting, Property or Facilities Management, Administrative Policy Analysis, Logistics, Physical Security. Experience directing, leading, or planning program reviews, assessments, or other administrative analysis aimed at improving program effectiveness, efficiency, or delivery, and implementing or tracking implementation of findings approved by management. Experience analyzing and monitoring administrative data or policy, identifying areas for improvement or of concern, and developing and presenting project papers, administrative reports, and/or briefing materials with recommended options to management decision making. Experience managing the analytical process or managing a team of subject matter experts with the goal of conducting studies, evaluating policy, or analyzing administrative data and developing recommendations for improving program efficiency and effectiveness. Note:
There is no education substitution for this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
